well, yesterday I went to Apple store to bring home a miniDVI-VGA cable and a wireless keyboard.Well, when I got home, I tried to connected the cable to my new 32' LCD TV,but.............WHAT the heck???? Both of the ports is.........female.Unfortunately, ports can't be lesbian,so today I have to fly to Radio shack store to buy another Male-male cable extender(and I wonder why Apple made the cable so short????).After 5' to hook up everything, another 5' for MacBook to recognize the new monitor, what I can tell so far is...........AWESOME. I use Vizio(ok,if you have Sony or Sammy, you can laugh if you want),the color is great, although some of them is not displayed correctly. The light blue change a little bit to gray, but it's still ok. I don't know how good an Apple cinema display is,but with the huge price difference, I can tell that a LCD TV is a good choice(my TV is $400,while an ACD 30' is $1800).Or even with that much money, you can always go with Sony or Sammy stuffs.
well, that;s it,thank you for looking at this rant, because I'm so happy right now :D

that s so cool i want to do the same, but there are a lot of other ting i need to get before i get an lcd tv...

the cable is short as it is a mini-dvi to vga CONVERTER.
essentially converts your macbook mini-dvi 'socket', into a vga 'socket'
some converters don't even have and cable at all, such as this dvi to vga converter

"unfortunately, ports can't be lesbian"

Easily the funniest thing I've read today. lol

Still, you thought Macs were sexy before, wait till they come out with the lesbian macs. :)

yes,the resolution is not high as ACD,but with a TV,I can do many things, like playing with X360,Wii, or even PS3.So it's a fair trade off
