Macbook and Macbook Pro?

Graphics card, bigger screen, powerful processor, high end RAM choice, ambient light sensor just some of the features in a Macbook Pro
there are various differences according to the model of either mb/mbp you choose. The macbooks are thicker with a more durable case and a smaller glossy screen. They also come in black or white depending on the model. The macbook is really your consumer travel laptop. It has 1g of ram as standard, no graphics card just shared memory and a smaller processor.
The MBP however has a different, more normal laptop keyboard, has an aluminium outer and is stronger than the macbook in just about all fields except for travelling. It comes in Glossy or Matte screen and can be 15' or 17'. The base model has a 128mb graphics card with the others with 256mb cards. It comes with 2g of ram as standard and it comes with various other features like a back lit keyboard, led lit screen in 15' models and is basically your graphics, desktop replacement laptop.

Take it easy man. A lot of people are new to forums and don't know exactly the helpfulness of searching beforehand. Be kind to those who are new because you were once the new kid on the block as well
dedicated graphics card on the MBP and integrated card on the MB...that's about the biggest difference other than price point, design and materials.

but but but he is a member with 50 posts! lol
I know two Sony Vaios (my old one and a friend's new one) made out of thick plastic like the macbooks. When I exerd some pressure on them - with caution of course - there are soon creaking sounds and I can see the surfaces (palm rest, keyboard, backside of the lid, hatches underside) yielding. Closing the lid gives some typical plastic sounds too.
When I am pressing with the same forces at any place of my MBP I cannot observe the slightest material deforming. Even the large perforated plates above the sensors and loudspeakers stay even. No cracking sounds at all. The aluminium may be thin but there seem to be massive frameworks inside. The surface of the display is glass and not transparent plastic.
