Hi guys

After the advice given on a previous question I've settled down on the idea of buying a Macbook. For financial reasons I'm planning on asking a colleague of mine to bring me one back from the US (since its roughly 3/4 the price in the UK) but I'm a little bit concerned about warranty cover on it - if I buy Applecare does that cover the laptop wherever on the planet it happens to be? Or is it one of those fun ones that only covers the machine in it's home territory?

Cheers

AppleCare for laptops and mac minis are international. :) If you want the actual terms and conditions, read up here.

Maybe register and buy AppleCare in the UK?

I wondered about that but my instinct with extended warranties is that if you go for it, better to go for it at time of purchase.

Thankfully I've just asked the Apple product manager for the company I work for (computer reseller) and he's confirmed it - Applecare coverage is international - w00t!
