Hello folks. Been reading the forums for a while but never posted. I'm going back to uni in the summer and am planning on getting a new Macbook (to replace my 4 year old iBook) and iPhone before I go.

A quick question in the interests of research (as I have neither device yet) - as the uni's internet access is wired, would I be able to use the Macbook plugging in as a wireless access point for the iPhone, or would I have to get a wireless router as well?

If your MacBook is connected to a wired LAN you can setup the MacBook to share the internet connection wirelesly so your iPhone can use the internet as well.
