hi, i just bought a white 2.0ghz macbook a week ago [switching over from windows, and i must say i'm loving it]

but the thing is, coconut says my battery's capacity is now at 98%, which kinda scares me because at this rate, i've only got like 6 months of juice left.

i usually keep ac in, and sometimes i leave it on 6+ hours so i can download from limewire/bittorrent

i've been wondering, should i discharge/recharge/discharge etc. for a healthy battery? or should i just recharge whenever i can [say, at 60%, recharge back to 100]

and when its plugged in for prolonged periods of time, i know my macbook
says power source: power adapter, but should i remove my battery anyway?

thanks in advance [first post]

It doesn't matter how/when you charge and use your battery as long as you follow Apple's calibration instructions once a month.

There is no need to ever remove the battery. It just leaves a spot for dust and stuff to get into your computer and I believe it removes one of the feet on the Macbook causing it to sit unevenly.
