I'm Just back from NYC (iPhone is AMAZING!!)
Anyway, I'm just back from NY and got to my macbook and pushed the power button (AC Adaptor plugged in). It starts up normally, but, the power adaptor light takes about 5 secs to turn on instead of immediate reaction. Oh, and the light doesn't turn orange it stays green all the time, battery icon looks like the images. I've tried restart, battery out and put back in... I haven't got the installation disks with me at the moment... What do you suggest?????:(

I have the same problem and it just started last week. I used it on 8/24 with the battery and then didn't use it until earlier last week. That's when I got the X in the battery bar and the computer shuts down whenever I unplug it. Tried the reset mentioned earlier and that didn't help so I think I'm SOL. It's out of warranty and I didn't get AppleCare as I never needed it with my TiBook from 2002 that's still running great.
