Ok, so I just upgraded my MacBook 2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo (purchased Dec 06) from 1 GB RAM to 2 GB RAM. Insanely easy to do. But when I went to put the battery back in, it won't go in smoothly. I can feel the edges poking out. It wasn't like that before. Also, in the process these two little flat white circles fell out from somewhere. I don't know if the two are related or not.

Any tricks to fix this?

Are you sure you pushed the RAM in far enough? You have to really press hard until it 'clicks' into place. If the RAM didn't click then the L-bracket is probably out too far getting in the way of the battery.

Don't know what those flat circles are.

you've broken your macbook! its now a paperweight... Send it to me

jk

but seriously, make sure the ram clicks in.

Ok, I went back in to make sure they were in all the way, and I think they were, but I must have put the bar thingy back on wrong, because it's all better now. Thanks.

And I'm just going to assume I can throw out the white circles. If anyone thinks that's a bad idea, let me know.
