My 10 month old MacBook is developing cracks at the edge of the bezel surrounding the keyboard. The one on the right side is just less than 1" long, and the one on the left side is more than 2" and getting longer. The plastic at the edge of the bezel is actually coming off.

Will AppleCare cover the repair of these cracks, or are they just cosmetic? I am starting to worry that if I just leave them, they will eventually go all the way around the keyboard bezel.

I also have a dark spot that appeared on the screen a few weeks ago. It is considerably larger than a single pixel, maybe 1/32" diameter (or for Canucks like me, about 1 mm). Is this considered normal, or so you think Apple will replace it?

I'll post pics later if I can so you can see what I'm talking about.

Thanks for your input.

I think things like this it varies if Apple will replace it or not, it is definitally worth a try, I would think that they would at least replace the screen though.
