I turned on my Macbook yesterday and it took really long to get to the apple logo, i think it was 30 secs, usually it take 2-3 seconds for that. It was really cold yesterday so I don't know if this was a factor or not. After the initial boot I turned it off and tried again, it was normal should I worry about this? It's a refurbished 1.83 macbook.

My MacBook boots in 30 seconds anyway. Its still incredibly fast-the fastest bootup that I know of!

i've noticed mine has been getting slower too... but i guess its whether you are looking at the screen or not?

or else it might be the return of the dreaded rsd or something for me. probably fried something by mistake!

I still got two months left, so if something happens I can just call them, I was wondering after the 90 days of apple care, who would I call if I have any problem, while still under the Apple 1 year warranty?

I had the exact same thing this morning, It was pretty cold in my room and as I turned on my macbook (2Ghz, 1.25 GB ram) it took really long to get it up and running.

Could the cold temperature really be the key factor here?

The only times when i get a slow start up is when i have just updated something in the OS or I have just ran Onyx to Optimize and clean the system. If it happens once or twice i would not worry about it, but if your computer stays like that for a while then i would call Apple or take it in.
