I tried to install fedora with parallels on my macbook but is it normal that I cannot install beryl and neither can't get the desktop effect to work from fedora???

or do we need to use bootcamp to get the desktop effect to work???

You can't use Beryl or any other 3D desktop effects in Linux for the same reason you can't use Vista Aero or play games in Parallels -- there's no 3D video accelerator available to the virtual machine.

ok so if I install this via bootcamp...then I willl have access to it right???

Anything run via BootCamp can of course utilize all the real hardware of the computer, including the graphics chip. So yes, it should work.
