Having been a Windows user since 3.1, I can honestly delcare that I am amazed how I put up with it for so long. OS X has totally opened my eyes to just how easy it can be to operate a computer, and too, just how gorgeous it can look.

As for the acutal thing itself, then so far so good. Everything has worked fine and the look and feel of the unit is amazing. Compared to my Dell, this hardware feels lightyears ahead. The screen is amazing, though I can see why people complain about the glossy finish. Whilst it does look better, occasionally you can see a slight reflection, but I'll wait until a few weeks before I make my mind up.

One thing that is troubling me, is that my battery (according to Coconut Battery) is down to 96% after just one charge? Is this normal?

Enjoy your new mac.

As regards the battery, you might try to calibrate the battery.

Also, get more ram, pronto.

I have the same specs and mine is waiting at home (getting off work soon). It arrived at 9 a.m. to my girlfriend.

Only diff. I have 2 gig ram and 80 gig HD.

Looking forward to the switch, Windows user since 3.0

Simple logic! Why on earth do people make things complicated? Never buying a PC again at this rate!
