If you could get a MacBook (Pro) in the style and colour of your own choice, what would it be?

Vote and post to specify if you wish.

Doh... I forgot "Matte Colour".

I'd love to see the MacBook with the same finish in a dark purple or the MacBook Pro remaining metallic, but with a purplish tinge. I like purple. :)

I chose aluminium myself. I think I'd prefer it plain, but if I had to choose a colour tinge, purple would be nice or perhaps dark blue.

To clarify MacBook Pro right? People were gonna have to start sorting out thread titles, it's getting VERY confusing :)

I voted aluminium too...

I'd love a Tangerine (Orange) MacBook in similar finish as the iPod minis. That would be so cool...

Probably going to go for the white one, though... to match my new white Sony Ericsson Z520i... well, really it's because it's ridiculous to pay premium for the black one...

Hopefully one of my local Apple retailers, Eplehuset or Office Line, get them in this week. Funding is 99% certain and the HD of my iBook seems to be failing (even if it's been remarkable amenable the last couple of days), so I just might be due for an upgrade... :)

When colorware colors the iPods, they do contrast coloring on the wheel, sort of a la the white iPod clickwheel... Contrast coloring on a Macbook, like darker keys or something like that, would be soooo hawt.

Metal finish and contrasted keys and trackpad would (probably) be very cool... or maybe something like the iBooks that have white top and bottom and a grey around the keys and screen inside, just in two different shades of <insert your favourite colour>. :)I, personally wouldn't have gone for pink, but that might also be an option I guess...

;)

Color for MB's and MBP's YESSS

MB's
since the MB's are made of plastic, that material could be colored any way you like, before injections molding the container... It really is no big deal, and costs very little.

MBP's
Aluminum is a material which can easily be ANODIZED in almost any color. Whole Skyscraper exteriors have been colored that way. In addition the process makes the surface even harder, or more scratch resistant. Also cost are low to do this.

Everybody is talking about colors, but none really comes up with a technical feasible way.
I described ways to achieve this for both, the MB and MBP. Maybe someone should tell Steve that there are better ways to color his babies besides painting them, eegh.

My god, color would boost sales...

I want my MBP anodized in UPS black/brown.:D and would wait 1 week to have it MY WAY...

:) ;)

Aluminum for me...It's just a lot cleaner, smoother, and easier to maintain. I personally am not a big fan of the plastic iBook/MacBook cases. That said, they've done a damn good job making due with plastic...wish the black macbook had an aluminum counterpart, though. That would be great! :p

I guess because they're intuitively obvious. Of course if Apple were to do it, anodizing the aluminum and dyeing the plastic would be the natural choices. ;)
