Guys, I can vouch that the 1GB 667mhz sticks at Newegg (the gstar ones) are perfect after running every known diagnostic test. No kernal panics. Perfect speed @667. Everything rated as advertised. They are $72 per 1GB stick. Needless to say, after I tried one pair, I bought one more for my wife's Macbook. Although I've always been a Crucial memory snob, don't waste your money. The Gstar RAM, this case, is every bit as premium (and even outtested the Hyinx stock RAM).
So, do what ever makes you feel happy... but there's no need to pay a $200-$300 premium here. Grab 2GB of Gstar RAM for your Macbook at $160, and put that saved money towards the Hitatchi 100GB 7200RPM SATA drive (which is sold out from Newegg at the moment. I guess I've cleaned 'em out... but wait). It's $175, and just amazing.
