macbook compatible ram/ hard drives?

Shame on you...you've been around long enough that you should know the answers to this. 
For RAM, you'll generally find the OWC and DMS are great. Crucial is good has become overpriced in my opinion. Their memory assistants will guide you to the correct ones.
Hard drives are available at a number of places...OWC, Newegg, etc. Many places will tell you what fits the MacBook, but in general you want a SATA 2.5 inch, 9.5 mm high.

Grab some memory from newegg.com, you can get 1GB sticks for around $80-$90 bucks.
Macsales.com has 120GB drives for the Macbook. I am not sure of the largest capacity drive out there. It has to be a 9.5mm high drive, Sata, and obviously 2.5".

Guys, I can vouch that the 1GB 667mhz sticks at Newegg (the gstar ones) are perfect after running every known diagnostic test. No kernal panics. Perfect speed @667. Everything rated as advertised.They are $72 per 1GB stick. Needless to say, after I tried one pair, I bought one more for my wife's Macbook. Although I've always been a Crucial memory snob, don't waste your money. The Gstar RAM, this case, is every bit as premium (and even outtested the Hyinx stock RAM).
So, do what ever makes you feel happy... but there's no need to pay a $200-$300 premium here. Grab 2GB of Gstar RAM for your Macbook at $160, and put that saved money towards the Hitatchi 100GB 7200RPM SATA drive (which is sold out from Newegg at the moment. I guess I've cleaned 'em out... but wait). It's $175, and just amazing.

Also, my computer has been running cooler... probably due to Hitachi's heat reduction system. I'd say its worth getting this over the Seagate, which does not have these features (the major one being it's much louder), and is actually more expensive.

Nope...I thought I'd change it up a bit. Thanks for noticing and glad you like it...I think I'll keep it around awhile longer.
