hi

i keep my macbook connected to the ac adaptor all day at home.
is it recommended?
will there be any downsides?

thks=)

really?

glad to hear that haha.
but i read that if connected to ac power, the macbook isnt able to run on its fastest speed.
like 1ghz max only.

Where did you hear that? It's the first I've ever heard it. In fact I find I get better performance when I am plugged in as opposed to using the battery. Although it could be my imagination. When you are running in battery mode the computer does it's best to conserve battery power. This is not needed when plugged in. For what it's worth my iBook is always plugged in at home and at work. I only use the battery when there is no power available. My battery lasts longer too!

oh so i just leave the batt in while charging?

cause im leaving the batt out now.
will it spoilt the batt if i leave the ac power on?
and also, will my batt charged cycle increase will leaving my ac power on?

thks

i read about the speed issue on apple.com

but i always leave my batt out while having the ac adaptor in.

will there be any downsides?

Huh?

Take the battery out while plugged into to ac power?

When was this sort of thing recommended?

How are you charging the battery if it is not in the laptop? Did you buy a recharger for it? Seems a bit of a waste to me, unless you have an extra battery.

yeah i took the battery out and use it directly thru ac power, with the ac adaptor plug into the macbook.

cause i was told that the batt will die very fast if i keep using and charging it.
