I think i am gonna cry. Over the weekend i left my computer at work imaging another MacBook Pro. I come in thismorning and my laptop was off and woould not wake up. The MBP that i was imaging was done and boots fine. My laptop will not boot to the hard drive. I boot to CD and it still won't see th drive to repair via Disk Utility. I can't get to target disc mode. nada. My drive will not boot in another macbook. i am sorta freaking out cause it was my work laptop. So i have questions

1. Any other ways to recover the data myself
2. Recommendatons for a company to do the recovery.

Thanks

-Will

PS
And yes, i know. I should of been making backups......:-(

You could try putting the drive in either another Mac laptop or into a 2.5" external case. Either of these might give you more luck recovering your data, depending on why this happened in the first place. Good luck! :)

Sounds like you've tried all you can to connect to the HD yourself, you might want to put it into a professionals hands. My moms computer died a year or so ago and while it was definitely dead, they were able to retrieve all the data off of it. I think it cost her $150 and they got all the data off (and on to her new computer) as well as all her programs!! That saved her a lot of money cause she had one of those microsoft office install disks that had limited installs and had used all the installs she had.

I'm sure you could ask your local apple store who they recommend to try to save your data, there was a Mac superstore in my town that would do it.
