So i recently got a new MacBook (13 inch m1 chip), and I didn't want to throw away my old MacBook (13 inch 2017). So I thought I could use the old macboook as a second monitor to my new m1 chip MacBook. However, I can only link the m1 chip mac to the old MacBook, using the m1 chip as the second monitor.

I checked displays in settings, and in my old MacBook, there was a button called add display, and I clicked that and selected my new m1 chip. But when I go to displays on my new MacBook, there isn't an add displays button.

please help
