I thinking about purchasing a Sony KDL-26U2000 LCD TV and use my MacBook as a DVD player and as a extra display for it. I will be using a monster THX Ultra 800 HDMI to DVI Video Cable to connect the two! Does any one have any experience of using any TVs of this size as a computer display?

My other option is to purchase a Apple 23" monitor. This would be slightly more than the Sony option and i would not be able to watch TV with out the laptop!

Which of the above does the MacBook support and what does this mean to me?
Any advice would be really good please people!

1366 x 768 is a fairly low resolution, and the Macbook's GMA950 can deal with that very easily. The actual size of the TV doesn't matter - just if the notebook and put out a signal that it can accept.
