Hi, I've read many pages on this and would just like somebody to confirm my suspicions on my case..

My macbook cd 2ghz has been been running with the CPU working at 55-60% (73degrees c), therefore causing the fans to crank up to full whack for the last few days. Activity monitor suggests that nothing undue is occurring - I'm only using firefox this moment in time and it's still happening, oh and I've reset the pram.

Anyway, is there anything I can do before I take it to an apple retailer?

If I remember correctly, some people had problems with this before and I think the cause was Spotlight having a corrupt index or something like that. What is the first process in Activity Monitor when you sort by cpu usage and show All Processes.
