So i was checking the fans on my Macbook. In istat, only the exhaust fan is listed, and in FanControl the one fan is at -1 RPM. Do i have a busted fan? My heat is generaly running between 80-126 F depending on what i am doing, and the fan listed is running at a normal 14-1600ish RPM. is it just not listing a fan, or am i in serious trouble?

According to my understanding, the Macbook only has one fan on the CPU. This is why only one fan is listed in both iStat and in Fan Control. Fan Control has left and right fan displays because there are two fans in the Macbook Pro. Your temperatures and fan speeds are completely normal and you've got nothing to worry about. :D

Edit: Just wondering... what are your settings in Fan Control? I'm trying to find a nice balance between fan noise and CPU temperature in my own Macbook.
Cheers, Martin

Hi, what if my Exhaust Fan keeps 0rpm in my iStat and the CPU temp is between 78 - 81 degree?...does it mean that my fan is not working?
