I have a 1.83Ghz Core Duo MB and just recently the fans have been acting weird. They sound louder, a bit choppyish. When I sit down and use it, I have my legs up and the MB is at roughly a35 degree angle and it seems worse than when it is sitting down flat. Any ideas?

Thanks

I had a similar thing that started for no particular reason. The fans had to be replaced - fortunately it was under warranty. Do you still have warranty and/or Applecare?

That sounds like the shaft bearings are gone (or going). If the bearings are gone then the fans need to be replaced. Is your warranty still valid?
