Hi all,

Sorry if this has been covered.

Apple lists the most recent firmware for the MacBook as MB11.005F.00B
(http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303880)

My firmware is listed as MB11.005F.B00 (Week 25 - 5 day old MacBook)
My boot ROM version is correct.

Does this mean I have newer, or older firmware than that posted by Apple on 6th July '06.

Also what does everyone else's firmware read?

all macbook firmware is the same. mine is the same as you. I have week 24 built. 6H424xxx. it's nothing to do with built in week. once macbook released, every macbook is the same.

sorry but you are completely missing the point...

i know its nothing to do with the build week, obviously they will put the latest available firmware on them when they are manufactured.

my point was that the current macbook firmware listed by apple on the 6th July (see above link to apple KB article) is different to the firmware that I have on my machine (check the last 3 digits.)

does this mean that
a- i have a newer firmware than the one listed (unlikely, as it was only listed on the 6th july!)
b- there is a new firmware about to be released/overdue?
c- its a typo.
