2GB KIT DDR 2 667MHZ PC2-5300 200 PIN DIMM FOR APPLE MACBOOK (Part Number: MA369G/A)

* Generic - is available for the the price displayed on this page and is intended for the budget minded customer that is not doing mission critical work and is not trying to get the best performance or reliability from their machine. 1 year limited warranty
* Major Brand - great quality chips (e.g. Micron, Samsung, Nanya) on a high quality 3rd party board, these modules will provide great performance and reliability for a moderate price increase. Lifetime limited warranty
* Factory Original (pictured) - Are Apple OEM approved memory modules that are recommended for power users or mission critical work and is what actually ships in Apple computers. Hey you have the Lamborghini of computers might as well upgrade with the best components! Lifetime advance replacement warranty

I bought from them (powerlinememory.com) a 2gb ram kit - generic brand and it caused my macbook to crash everytime it booted up..... and it didnt feel as fast either.... only a little bit faster...

so, i was wondering if i went with the 2gb major brand name for extra $30, i would presume it wont crash and would run faster than the generic ones.. right?

You can do a search around these forums to find brands that people have bought and had success with. OWC, Datamem, Crucial, G.Skill from Newegg (if you want to save a few bucks)... I've never heard of powerlinememory.com - perhaps you'd be better sticking with some of the more popular/known sites?

Ohh.. I'm sorry - did I overlook that in the original post?

I'm actually not sure about shipping overseas. There are plenty of people on these forums from new zealand, though, so hopefully they pipe up soon about where they buy their RAM from.
