I've had my a SR 2.2 MB 160G HDD 4G RAM running Leopard for about 2 weeks now and I've noticed the average CPU temperature has gone up considerably. When I first got it it was doing 36°C. Over the next 2 weeks it's gone from that to 44 one day then 54 and now 64. What's going on? I'm not doing anything other than itunes and web browsing most of the time.

Thanks

JJ

I have a C2D MBP @ 2.33. I notice it getting hot ocasionally when I am browsing in Safari - even when viewing fairly plain web pages. I use the activity monitor to check what processes are taking up a large % of CPU and if something looks odd (like Safari taking up 40% when nothing is going on), then I will close the app and relaunch it.

Video intensive operations, like iChat and Quicktime also tend to make my machine run hot...
