Wishing for a magic bus.
Im on my sisters new Macbook 2Ghz right now, using 10.4.7. I noticed a weird glitch on the system preferences window.

I don't know whether or not I should worry about this or bring it back to CompUSA and raise some fuss. Just wondering what you guys make of this.

Close System Preferences, then look for a file called "com.apple.preferencepanes.cache"...it's in <your user directory>/Library/Caches. Drag it to your Desktop and then try opening System Preferences again. If all looks well, you can go ahead and trash the file you dragged to your Desktop.

There should be an automatic response system when the words "system preferences" and "glitch" are found in the same sentence. It would save WildCowboy a lot of time. :p
