Does anyone have a macbook with a 200gb harddrive?

I'm looking to upgrade mine. Has there been problems with the 200gb? What is the best brand to buy?

When is fugitsu coming out with the 300gb one?

I personally don't think the $100 jump in price is worth 40GB more. That is why I am getting a 160GB. I understand some people need more speed, but for $100 you can slap together a much bigger external.

i bought mine in the store with 120gb, i just couldn't wait!!!!

figured I'd upgrade it to a 200gb. But there is talk of the 300gb one coming out. That would be sweet.

p.s. suneohair, don't really think 100 bucks more is that big of a deal. I know its not much, but keeping it on your computer so you can travel with it is a nice thing...FOR ME. But if you're using it more as a desktop replacement, then I understand.

I just can't justify paying $100 more for 40GB more. If you look at the other jumps, the jump from 120 to 160 is about $40.

100 to 120 is only $10. When I buy drives, I buy the biggest I can buy where the increase in cost is a step below the highest. 200GB is pretty much the biggest you can buy right now. Hence the premium. Now when the 300GB drops, yeah the 200GB will be a great option and it should be cheaper.

But at this very moment it wouldnt make sense to buy a 200GB unless you really need the space on the go and cant carry a small external.

My laptop is a desktop and laptop at the same time. I want the most space like anyone else but at a $100 price jump it doesnt seem worth it RIGHT NOW.
