hi i'm just wordering if 50 to 70 celsius is a ok temperature.
Reports of 30 or 40 are way too low unless the computer is kept on ice
Maybe on C2D, but my CD is normally 28 . The hinge for the screen is definitely hot, but it's cool otherwise. And no it's not on ice, it's sitting on my desk running iTunes, Firefox, Mail, Stickies, Adium and Terminal.
CoreDuoTemp shows a tempearture inferior at 30 degrees Celsius, which is clearly wrong ?
Sorry, no solution is possible, it's a bug of Intel ! A restart can repair that failure. More Information here
A notebook running at 30 C. That's really priceless.
Even a well built desktop PC can't reach those temperatures under no load and your notebook does that while running?
Either Osarkon feels like lying or is completely clueless.
So has anyone managed to find out what can be considered 'normal' temperatures? I tried SMC Fac control but i dont want to wear out my fan. Getting a little worried about heat, mine is usually around 60C.
