Earlier today, Spymac reported that an ad showing the rumored MacBook was running on Apple's homepage, at least for a very short period of time.

The ad was then apparently pulled from site.

Has anyone else seen this?

I saw the screen capture on SpyMac via Endgadget. Looks good enough but I would be surprised that Apple would not include the screen size on the large ad.

Hopefully we'll know for sure 40 hours from now.

Three things are bothering me about it.

1) The colors are off

2) I don't remember Apple ever placing 2 ads on the homepage for the same item (correct me if I'm wrong).

3) If you compare that ad to the other two (that are real), Apple doesn't mention iLife '06, where the MacBook ad does. Also, the MacBook ad does not mention the built in iSight where the iMac ad does. ...I would think the iSight gives you more bragging rights than iLife '06.

looking at the mockup, and then the MBP ad at the bottom... a Macbook like this would make an MBP kindof useless! If the Macbook has a core duo, what would make the MBP worth the extra $1000?!

Yeah but laptops are generally more expensive. Maybe there will be a non-isight version for $999.

You beat me to it! I was just going to say that! When apple releases multiple products they have their home-page randomly show a large add for one of the products while featuring the others at the bottom. Every top add has a different set of bottom adds to ensure that you never see the same product in two places. This is obviously fake. I cant believe they screwed that up!
