Hey, so this is irrelevant regarding my MacBook as it's way out of date, but it can run High Sierra still using Colins tool and could still be an excellent option for web browsing on the go. My MacBook is a 5,1 so it's the first aluminum Unibody and is (generally) no different than the following years model MacBook Pro.

The issue?

It freezes constantly like it was Vanilla Ice.

Here is what I have tried in the past to fix this;

New logic board
New RAM
Hard Drives and SSD's
HDD cable to the motherboard
Superdrive and cable
Running MacOS out of a Superdrive to HDD conversion.

This is something I go back to every so often and I have owned this thing for 3 years. It drives me crazy and my tinkering brain can't comprehend why I can't fix it. LOL.

Here's the kicker, It runs any other OS just fine with 0 issues (in terms of freezing). This is a viable option, but I would rather run MacOS on my MacBook. To me, it sounds like there is a hardware/software conflict in MacOS. I don't know how to fetch logs to see what caused it, nor do I know if they will still be there after the fact when it restarts.

I'd like to start a conversation about this to see if anyone has any ideas, thoughts, suggestions, or if anyone has experienced anything like this.
