I locked myself out of my MacBook via iCloud (long story)

I have access to iCloud on another system signed into the same iCloud so I can get the unlock code to enter on the MacBook Pro

However, when I get to the screen to enter the code to lock it, it simply says ‘wrong passcode” and asks me to re-enter, but there are no fields and simply typing does not enter it either. When I restart or let the battery die, my password time wait increases.

How can I get to a place where I can enter my code?

I believe it's not a two factor code it wants (which is what I assume you're creating on the other Mac), it's a code specific to the Mac you would have previously set.
Does it look like the options here?

Hey there wish it was just that one. Even if it were, the big issue seems to be is it won’t allow me to enter any reason.

It was a code that was set in case it was iCloud locked. I was unsure of what code I set the first few times. I have found it on iCloud when I click “unlock” Now it will not allow me to enter any code
