Macbook Initial Charge?

I just bought my macbook and now I'm home.

How long should I charge the macbook for? It's the first time I've turned it on.

I checked the documentation but I couldn't find the answer...

Yeah, but don't you have to charge it for a long time, as it's good for the battery's health?

I remember with my toshiba, they recommended to leave it plugged in for 7 hours....

That's for the old type of battery. The new ones don't have that problem
