i just bought a new macbook. i took out the ram and out in 4gb and the 80gb and put in a 250 gb drive.

when trying to install leopard i get to the point where it asks where i'd like to install leopard and theres nothing to select..help pls

I think the disk has to be formatted first. I believe you need to run Disk Utility from the CD to format the HD, then you can install Leopard on it.

In other words, the HD you installed was not recognized (at all)?

What are the specifications of the HD?

EDIT: Or follow swiftaw's advice, assuming the HD is installed properly.
