MacBook is really slow on Entourage

Does anybody else fel that there must be something strange about the saying that the new MacBook is much faster than the G4 iBook? I have a new 1.83 macbook with 512 MB RAM since last Monday - and that is REALLY slow in particular on Entourage. Is there a way to change some setup options to increase speed? I know it runs on Rosetta and will be faster once the Universal Code will be available as upgrade, but what do I do for the next year until that happens? Use OSX Mail again?

Thank you for any recommendation how to fix orat least improve performance.

Rosetta loves RAM. How much do you have? That's one way you can improve performance in PPC apps - RAM, RAM and more RAM.

Yes, 512MB will make a Rosetta app crawl. Upgrade.

I would avoid Entourage anyway, I use mail and find it great for a basic user like me but I understand some don't like it....

Try Thunderbird.........
