Hi All

I've been lurking around these forums for a few weeks now as a guest, so I thought I'd do the honest thing & register. Here goes with my first questions.

My poor old Dell lap-top has seen better days & I'm 99% sure that I want to go down the MAC route for my next computer.

I have definitely decided to wait until Leopard is released before doing anything, but I need a bit of hardware advice.

I primarily use my current (noisy) lap-top in the living room, where it's connected up to an LCD TV & a wireless keyboard & mouse, but I like the flexibility of a portable, if needed.

I've had it with the noise my Dell makes. Is there a lot of fan noise with the Macbook, or would I be better off going for a Mini, even though I would lose the portability, to a certain extent?

I realise that the Mini is due an up-date, so that's another good reason to go for a Macbook.

Cheers in advance.

I'd say 80% of the time, my macbook is completely silent...but if I start doing anything cpu intensive, it sounds like a jet engine is taking off on my lap.
