I just got a Macbook two weeks ago, and I'm paranoid about the boo/hiss/moo/whine/discolorations.

My question is what are the known problems that can arise, and which of those are covered by Applecare?

Most of the "widespread" issues have been addressed already, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. As far as what's covered by the warranty, at this point it's basically anything not caused by you that is deemed to be significant by an Apple employee...and you can usually convince that even pretty minor things are significant to you and they'll fix it for you.

Relax...if you have a problem, then talk to the folks Apple or have a look here to see if others have had it or what others think of your problem. Until then, just enjoy your MacBook.
