Macbook issues?

Hey, so I'm thinking of grabbing myself a Macbook in the near future. Anyone know if the original issues that were there with it have since been sorted?

I bought mine the day it came out and it runs perfectly. I think its just a few buggy units, but you shouldn't hold back because you are afraid you that.

I agree with all the rest. Go for it! I have had my 2.0ghz white macbook for a week and I absolutely love it. I have had no problems so far and I still cant believe how fast this thing is, its one of the best purchases I have ever made!

Picture this.

LL goes into the Apple store in Meadowhall and has a chat with Stevie (great guy if anyone ever goes there, try and speak to him - really really pleasent) and has a look at the glossy screen (again really really nice to my surprise) and tries to barter them to something resemblent fo the higher ed price.

Well this fails so LL's sat in a pub with a cold pint of fosters half hour later ordering his new Macbook over the phone

I think I'm going to purchase a white 2ghz next week. The mooing and whining I can live with - it might be possible that these get addressed in a firmware update anyway(?), it's the discolouration issue that concerns me most - there appears to be no fix, and no acknowledgement of fault. However, if that does become a problem, regardless of Apple's warranty statement about cosmetic faults, I'll quote (UK) statutory rights, and argue that the unit is not of satisfactory quality, and direct them to the many forums in which the issue is discussed to support my argument. Might work. If it happens. Which I hope it won't.

Despite my worries over these early issues, I'm really impressed with the Macbook, and am chomping at the bit to buy one!

EDIT: Scratch the above concerns - I've just ordered a MBP on the UK refurb store for £928!!!

All I know is that my original week 20 Macbook mooed and the temperature idled at 56C. I just got a week 23 replacement, due to a faulty screen, and tso far no moo and it idles at 46C.
