Not sure if it's anything to do with 10.4.8, but recently my MacBook is woefully unreliable. Apart from a few serious errors that closed down OS X, it's just weird stuff like shutting down programs and then they just stay in the dock unresponsive and are needed to be forced quit. This happens to frequently for my liking. Furthermore, currently my bluetooth is 'unavailable' and the icon has an X through it.

Anyone else notice things like these? Think it could be a virus ?

The bluetooth thing happened to me once, when i restarted all was well again. Have you tried repairing permissions. Its not a virus.

The good news it's that it is not a virus! :D
The bad news is that I don't exawtly know what it is. As the previous poster said, try to repair permissions. Also check if your RAM is working fine.

If you just got your Macbook then I suggest that you do a clean/fresh OS X
install and see if the problem persists. If it does, then take it to your nearest Apple
store or call Apple care.

10.4.8 has messed with our network at home since there is some communication glitches with our router. Safari crashes on me with using stuff like Yahoo Stat Tracker for Fantasy Football.

Thankfully, no other issues.

I had similar stuff happening to my 1 month old Macbook. Finally reinstalled OS X after it completely froze twice in one day, and since then everything has worked fine.
