I have a 2017 macbook pro 13 inch model A1708 that i have decided to repalace the keyboard myself. I have read the posts and i feel that i can do this and get more time out of this machine. It took 5 years for the keyboard to act up so i am fine with the situation. My question is is their a good source for a replacement keyboard. There area couple of brands on amazon. I have read a few forums that talk about some replacement keyboards not having the function keys pre-programmed. (screen brightness, backlight control, volume control). I find this questionable as i am under the impression that the keyboard itself has no programmable abilities but just a dumb set of switches. Would someone educate me please?
