although I must say sleepless does work quite well...
All it has to do is cancel the sleep process. Its probably only a dozen lines of code. I'm not impressed.

Keep in mind, the MacBook vents from just below the screen. It wasn't really meant to be used while being closed.

Right from the Sleepless site:
ATTENTION! Using your Mac with closed lid can lead to serious system heat problems!

Haha, I was about to call you out on this, but I realized that unlike the built in lid closed mode w/video out this would probably keep the screen on while closed which probably would make problems! I guess you could set the screen to turn off after one minute or something though.

i think you can wake it up when its closed by pressing a button on the remote.

Doesn't work, AFAIK you've got to have it hooked up to the mini DVI out thing and hooked up to a/c power. Then remote wakes it up! No keyboard / mouse needed! Yay for frontrow.

Yeah, I'm not exactly sure what it does, but it doesn't sit well with me at all.

When I close my lid my macbook falls asleep. However, if I click on the attached external mouse then it'll wakeup in clamshell mode. Hopethat helps.
