Macbook Logic pro 7

I currently am running Logic pro 6 on G5. I want to upgrade to Macbook and run Logic. I understand Logic 7.2 is required for Intel Macbook. Do I need to install Logic pro 6 then upgrade pro 7 or is Pro 7 a full installation. Can anyone assist me with this.
