I'm sure that some comment about swine and pearls is appropriate, but...

Yeah, to me it poses slightly more than a passing configurational resemblance to the MacBook (ports on the side, camera, white, etc), but not a very deep one. It does also look rather a bit like the Asus white small notebook, and that Asus was widely seen as a bite-the-hand-that-feeds rip-off of Apple's then upcoming MacBook when it came out... (since Asus is an Apple OEM).

Being that this is basically an ultralight (12" screen, external optical, 1.5KG weight), it's not much of a comparison to the MacBook or vice versa. And yes, it's white, the ports are on the side, and it has a built-in camera... the rest of the "look alike" is where?

I see no problem with it as an ultralight (though external optical=not worth it to me), but it's a rather odd and generally inaccurate comparison to be making.

I hate that gigantic white border on the top where the camera is. F-U-G-L-Y! And how could they not fit an optical drive in there? Just proves how talented Apple is. :D

"You also get an integrated webcam and a motion sensor that stops the hard drive spinning when the machine is dropped"

Don't know about you, but when I read this it sounded like it came right out of an Apple products page (minus the poor grammar.)

In any case, I kind of like the idea of a leave-at-home optical drive. It'd be nice if they went back to the 'removeable' configuration where the optical drive could be replaced with an extra battery or weight-saver dummy plug.
