Does anyone else's Macbook whistle from the middle of their keyboard when on the magsafe connector? The whistle changes pitch depending on what you are doing on the Macbook.

The noise is more like a buzz actually.

I thought you'd found a way to produce music with your magsafe :)

it's the infamous whine usually associated with MBP

some like to say it's the inverter of the display, but i don't believe it

(does it go away for a few second sometimes if you are using high CPU dependent apps... or sometimes using the scroll bar?)

It goes away if I start up photo-booth and the pitch changes when you scroll on web pages. It's like an electric sizzle or crackle from right under the keyboard.

It's not the inverter, it's not the fan, it's the Macbook CPU whine. Google for "ShhMBP", install it and it's gone.
