Yes, I know how old this macbook is. I just want to install macos el capitan on it (the drive js wiped.) I don't have another Mac, so I'm trying to make a bootable usb from my windows pc. So far TransMac and converting DMG to ISO hasn't worked at all. Any ideas?

I think a Macbook MB062LL/A is a MacBook "Core 2 Duo" 2.16 13" (White) (Mid-2007, MB062LL/A). I believe Apple supports a maximum macOS of 10.7.5 (Lion) on that model. El Capitan is 10.11 and is too new for a normal install on your MacBook.

I don't recall anybody on MacRumors reporting having success using Transmac on a PC. I have seen bootable El Capitan USB installers for sale on eBay, but I'm not sure a bootable El Capitan USB installer would work to boot your older MacBook.

I got it to boot (finally) but the installer says the copy can't be verified and that it may have been corrupt or tampered with during downloading
