Hi.
I just ordered a Macbook, with 2x256mb RAM. I'm planning on buying more, but I don't know wether to buy a 1GB module, two 512 modules or two 1GB module. What I'm most interested in, is wether matched RAM will improve the graphics performance. Any advice would be appreciated!

Yes, the matched ram will be best for graphic performance. It all depends on what you will be doing with graphically. If not to much heavy stuff, getting a gig now, then buying more when you can afford it, is the best way to go. If you can get the 2 gig now, do it.

Don't bother getting the matched pairs of RAM. The performance benefit is just several percent (you may even be able to count the percentage gain in one hand....). Just get what's best for yourself. You don't seem too fussed about the whole RAM issue, so I say buy a 1GB stick right now so that you have a total of 1.25 GB of RAM. If you need more, get another 1 GB stick and make it 2 GB total.
