Hi,i have just orderd a 2.0Ghz macbook with 120GB hard drive. I turned down the oppurtunity to orded a RAM upgrade, because £90 is far too much. I have been looking on the internet at RAM that i can install when i recive the product, and was wondering if anybody knew how the RAM was installed originally. I would like to get up to 2GB RAM as economically as possible. Is the RAM installed in 2x512MB=1GB or in 1x1GB- the latter would leave a spare port open, which i could just install the RAM into. If the answer is (2x512MB) then can you install uneven amounts of RAM into it, I.e 1x512MB + 1x1GB??

Thanks so much.

I believe it comes with x2 512mb, you can install in uneaven pairs, both ports are accessible however. The easiest route and cheaper route is go with www.crucial.com/uk my mac's have been a little touchy with cheaper memory and at least with crucial or whoever you know it's guaranteed.

Crucial really are amazing. I got 2x1gig (2 gig). Order last friday (around 3pm) paid the 3 quid extra. Was here 11am on Saturday. I popped out my battery, undid 3 screws. Popped out the 2x512. Popped in the 2x1gig. Booted it up and that was it! The 2x512 also came in handy, i popped them into my old solo cored mini :)
