About to buy a new Macbook, and was wondering, is the 1 GB memory in there 512x2 or 1x1?

Also, does it matter what brand of ram you install? Notebook ram is super-cheap on Ebay.

It doesn't matter what brand you put in there, but you know some brands are more reliable than others. However, you should be careful about what speed you get and you should be careful it is the right type of memory.

For macbooks they should be DDR2 SoDimm 200-pin PC5300 (667mhz)...something along those lines.
