Macbook not recharging.

Hi!

I have owned my black Macbook for about 3 months. And this 2 weeks, I noticed that it's not recharging unless the percentage is very low (abou < 50%). Right now, it's at 67% and not recharging. I have tried restarting it. And also disconnecting and reconnecting the power cable. Nothing drastic has been tried yet.

Also, my batt's max capacity is very low. I bought it at about 5200 mAh, but right now, after about 10 cycles, it's at 3487 mAh!!!

Is something wrong with my batt? the macbook? should i get it replaced?

first try to re-calibrate the battery, then download coconut and see how your battery rates

Excellent advice from the eva01, as ever. A PMU reset might help too.

Update on the situation

i have just recalibrated the battery and according to coconutbatt, it's now at 61% of max capacity when fully charged! onlky after 3 months... and no, it still doesn't recharge the battery properly, i ran a video on battery power until it's 84%, plugged in the power cable and it doesnt recharge.

will try the PMU reset now.

If nothing works, call Applecare. They'll replace that.

PMU reset did not work too,

just reset the PMU, followng instructions on http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303319

it still doesn't recharge. i think i'll contact applecare now.
