Alright, i usually try to avoid mentioning my age on forums and on telephone calls because everyone judges me on it but i am 16 and i am thinking about getting a macbook for my bday/christmas (there fairly close togeather).....but most likely the iPhone will come out in January or Febuary here in Australia.......what do you reckon i should get.....it is a really tough decision for me.....i am obsessed with the iPhone....i know everything about it....but the macbook is much more reasonable and i probably need it more than the iPhone.....what would you guys do???? (forget that i said that i need the macbook more)

Sorry for your bad experiences bro.

It depends on your needs, more than your wants if you want to spend your money responsibly and realistically. So whatever your needs are, I'd say go with that. The iPhone is a luxury phone and arguably a small computer, while the MacBook you can do much more in regard to creation; Final Cut, iLife, Photoshop, etc.

Honestly, I would go for the iPhone and pick up a laptop in a couple years when your off to college, that way you'll get the bleeding-edge technology ina few years, probably with some nice features where you'll actually get some good use out of it. So if you use the computer more for leisure (friends, websurfing), I'd use your 'rents computer if you have that option.
