Macbook? or Macbook Pro

I am going to be buying a new apple laptop soon and was wondering about the two they have now? I love the way that the macbook looks and feels but it has the integrate video chipset... has anyone had any problems with this? Also, aren't they going to be puttn the intel core duo 2 in these soon? rumor anyway...
I am going to be using final cut for video editing and I am thinking that the integrated graphics just wouldn't handle final cut, does anyone use that on a mac book and how well does it work, render times ect.
I guess I am asking whether to buy the MB or MBP...should I wait a couple of weeks for the possible new MB? Or would that upgrade not even matter and should go ahead and get the pro? any suggestions, experience greatly appreciated...thanks

I expect the MacBooks will be updated soon, and they'll likely remain about the same as they are now, except with Core 2 Duo CPUs. I don't see Apple moving away from the crappy Intel integrated graphics.

From what I understand, FCP doesn't really utilize the GPU much. However, if you planned on using something like Motion as well, it'd very much use the GPU (Apple's site says "Motion requires the standard graphics card found in any Mac Pro, MacBook Pro, iMac Intel Core Duo, Power Mac G5, iMac G5, a 1.25 GHz or faster PowerBook G4, or a 1.25 GHz or faster flat-panel iMac.").

Also, remember the integrated graphics card steals system memory, which is going to impact running programs (I imagine a base MB with 512mb is pretty much unusable with FCP, upgrading to 1gb might make it semi-useful).

Finally, the screen size on the MB is pretty limited for video editing, IMHO. If you plan on using an external monitor it might be OK, but if you want to do video editing on the road, it's going to suck.

Since cost doesn't seem to be a factor, I'd recommend the MBP, unless you REALLY want the small form factor of the MB.

What he said, AND I would not buy a regular Macbook anytime soon. Now that we've seen the MBP update it can only be a matter of time before the MB's are updated as well.

But as you can tell from my Sig, MacBook Pro all the way, IMHO.
