MacBook PC2-5300 RAM in iMac?

Hey all,

I currently have 4GB of PC2-5300 RAM in my 2.4Ghz white MacBook.
Will this work in my new 24" 2.8Ghz iMac?

According to Crucial the MacBook is DDR2 PC2-5300 and the iMac is DDR2 PC2-6400.

"The April 2008 iMac requires DDR2-800 MHz (PC2-6400) SODIMMs. It uses a 1066 MHz Frontside bus, and 800 MHz memory bus. There are reports that it will run with some 667 MHz SODIMMs, but performance will be compromised."

Okay, thanks. So basically - it will work, but will be slower than it could be?
