Hello all!
It looks like all of the inventories (Apple store) are exhausted even for big cities in US and delivery estimate is only August 31. While Air was restocked at most locations and have shorter delivery time. It looks like it is happening: maybe they are slowly stopping production of base MBP 13 as of now?

Best Buy and Amazon have that base model available to receive by Tuesday 8/11. [EDIT: Some BBs even have it in stock]. BB has the $1499 and $1799 models available for pickup in some stores (in New England, at least).

I think the demand and uncertainty about schools remaining full- or part-time online may also be a big factor.

This is strange that everyone around has it (Costco, BB) but not the Apple itself.

Upper base is not affected and definitely plenty of them ready for pickup and shorter delivery dates.

It could very well be likely due to the education discount Apple offers.
